7. Indianapolis Colts- Derrius Guice, RB, LSU

The Indianapolis Colts used most of this offseason to improve the talent on the defensive side of the ball. They added key pieces like Malik Hooker and Johnathan Hankins. Next year they need to spend some capital on the offensive side of the ball.

Despite his age, Frank Gore continues to produce at a high level. His ability to move the chains and help in the passing game has made him indispensable to the Colts. However, he isn’t going to be able to carry the load forever.

The Colts need to target someone who can take over for Gore. Derrius Guice is someone who can replace Gore and even provide more production. He’s an explosive athlete who runs with a passion.

Guice features a low center of gravity and strong build that helps him fight through contact. He routinely breaks tackles and moves the chains. His effort and aggressiveness tend to rub off on his teammates and provide spark.

He is also a solid pass catcher who plucks the ball and picks up yards after the catch. Adding Guice would allow the Colts to replace Gore while giving Andrew Luck another weapon. Luck needs a strong running game if he hopes to avoid more injuries.
