team. 87. The Carolina Panthers move up two spots in the rankings from number 17 to 15. In week one the Panthers defeated the San Francisco 23-3. The Panthers defense scuttled Kyle Shanahan’s offense in his first game as 49ers head coach. The 49ers could only muster 51 yards rushing and the passing game featuring quarterback Brian Hoyer was inconsistent. Quarterback Cam Newton efficient and had 2 TD passes on the day. In week 2, the Panthers return home to take on the Buffalo Bills who notched a week 1 win as well.. Beat 49ers 23-3. Previous: . Carolina Panthers. 14

The Tennessee Titans lose but still move up in the NFL Power Rankings one spot from 14 to 13. And while the Titans did lose at home to the Oakland Raiders 26-16, the Raiders are one of the best teams in the league and I still think the Titans are a team on the rise. Hence, they still move up. The Titans just didn’t have the fire power to hang with the Raiders. However, I expect the Titans to improve as the season move forward and by the end of it they could be one of the teams challenging for a playoff spot. And that could mean the Titans winning the AFC South. IN week 2, the Titans have a big chance to make progress in that endeavor as they take on their AFC rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars.. Lost to Raiders 26-16. Previous: . Tennessee Titans. 13. team. 35
