2018 NFL Mock Draft: Week 2 Version
By Jon Dove
17. Baltimore Ravens- James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State
I’ve had the Baltimore Ravens selecting James Washington for my last few mock drafts. He’s a hard-nosed receiver who is always in attack mode. His ability to make plays down the field will fit in perfectly with the Ravens offense.
Baltimore has been plugging their hole at the wide receiver position with aging veterans. The Breshaud Perriman pick is close to being a loss. Now is the time to add another young playmaker.
18. Arizona Cardinals- Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
The Arizona Cardinals are another team that may look to add a young quarterback at this spot. Someone like Washington State’s Luke Falk or Western Kentucky’s Mike White could be a fit. If not, they may need to get some help at offensive tackle.
D.J. Humphries has been slow to develop while Jared Veldheer has considered retirement. Mike McGlinchey would be a nice addition because he can play either left or right tackle.
19. Carolina Panthers- Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State
The Carolina Panthers are going to be in the market for a young pass rusher next offseason. They need to start thinking about life after aging edge players like Julius Peppers and Charles Johnson. Bradley Chubb has the size and quickness to be an effective edge defender.
20. Detroit Lions- Sam Hubbard, Edge, Ohio State
Sam Hubbard is a fun prospect to watch because he gives 100% on every play. He is also someone who will impact the game as both a pass rusher and run defender. The Detroit Lions need a pass rush threat to work opposite Ziggy Ansah.
