The Houston Texans remain at number 18 in the NFL Power Rankings this week. They gave the New England Patriots all they wanted but were defeated on the road 36-33. Rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson played a great game. He passed for 301 yards and 2 TD’s and rushed for 42 yards. The Texans held a 33-28 lead on the Patriots late in the fourth quarter, but Tom Brady led them back on a late drive to win. 17. team. 87. The Carolina Panthers move down two spots from 15 to 17 in the NFL Power Rankings this week. In week 3 the Panthers were soundly defeated at home by the New Orleans Saints 34-13. The Panthers committed 3 turnovers, all three were interceptions by Cam Newton. The vaunted Panthers defense allowed 362 yards to the Saints offense. Losing at home to a division opponent is a big deal. Now, the Panthers need to try to bounce back as they go on the road to face the 2-1 New England Patriots.. Lost to Saints 34-13. Previous: .
