Another week of NFL games are on the horizon which is another opportunity to release an updated 2018 NFL Mock Draft

This 2018 NFL Mock Draft features a lot of changes based on adjustments to the draft order. There are also a few prospects who make their debut in my mock draft.

1. Cleveland Browns- Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming

Despite some struggles this year, Josh Allen remains the most talented quarterback in this class. There will be plenty of teams willing to look past his struggles and focus on his natural ability. The Cleveland Browns need to solve their quarterback problem once and for all. DeShone Kizer doesn’t look like he’s the answer.

2. Indianapolis Colts- Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State

Adding Saquon Barkley to an Indianapolis Colts offense that already features Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton could be the final piece to the puzzle. A similar situation occurred when the Colts drafted Edgerrin James to pair with Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne.

Barkley has a similar skills set to James in that he can impact the game as a pass catcher and runner.

3. New York Giants- Sam Darnold, QB, USC

This season has been a disastrous start for the New York Giants. The problem is that it doesn’t look like things are getting any better. New York’s biggest needs are along the offensive line, but if they land in the top-5 they must consider taking a quarterback.

Sam Darnold would be Eli Manning’s replacement and help the Giants transition from one stud quarterback to another.

4. San Francisco 49ers- Derwin James, DB, Florida State

The San Francisco 49ers are still being linked to Kirk Cousins which means they won’t use this pick on a quarterback. Derwin James is a physical defender who has the athleticism to also excel in coverage. General Manager John Lynch knows something about playing that style of football from the safety position.
