2018 NFL Mock Draft: Week 5 Update
By Jon Dove
5. Chicago Bears- Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
There is a lot of excitement in Chicago with Mitch Trubisky taking over at quarterback. However, he might not find much help based on the Bears current weapons. Chicago’s top receivers are Marcus Wheaton, Kendall Wright and Deonte Thompson.
Calvin Ridley would give the Bears a true No. 1 receiver who can grow alongside Trubisky. This pick is pretty much a no brainer.

6. Miami Dolphins- Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
Jay Cutler obviously isn’t the answer at the quarterback position and the Dolphins appear hesitate to fully commit to Ryan Tannehill. Miami could turn to someone like Josh Rosen who could represent an upgrade in both the short and long term.
7. New York Jets- Orlando Brown Jr, OT, Oklahoma
The New York Jets have surprised some people this year which has hurt their chances at landing the No. 1 overall pick. In this mock draft, they are in a situation where the top-3 quarterback prospects are already off the board.
They could turn to someone like Mason Rudolph or address the offensive line with a stud left tackle like Orlando Brown Jr.
8. Los Angeles Chargers- Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
The Los Angeles Chargers are another team that needs to look at the quarterback position. Again, the top prospects are off the board so they have to consider different options. Minkah Fitzpatrick is a true playmaker who excels at generating takeaways.
His versatility means that the Chargers could use him at either cornerback or safety.
