Predicting the 2018 NFL Draft Order
By Jon Dove
9. Buffalo Bills
Sean McDermott has had a solid start to his coaching career, but made a big mistake by benching Tyrod Taylor. He created unnecessary drama and at the same time killed his team’s playoff hopes. It’ll be interesting to see if he gives Nate Peterman another chance at some point this year.
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers nightmare season continues to get worse with the Jameis Winston groping accusation. Winston was suppose to accent to a higher level of play this year, but has struggled with his accuracy and now has this off-field problem.
11. New York Jets
New York is coming off their bye week looking to finish the season on a high note. They still haven’t figured out their long-term quarterback situation, but some of the younger players on the roster are starting to develop.
12. Arizona Cardinals
Arizona has really battled this year despite the loss of several key pieces. They aren’t a team in the running for a playoff spot, but at least they are showing up and competing each week.
13. Oakland Raiders
It looks like everyone was at least a year too early on the Oakland Raiders. Their blowout loss to the New England Patriots really put a hurting on their playoff hopes.
14. Cleveland Browns (via Hou)
The Texans were able to squeak out a win against the Cardinals, but it’s a stretch to see them back their way into another playoff berth. Tom Savage is proving to be a career backup at best which falls in line with what many saw when he entered the league.
15. Cincinnati Bengals
Despite the disappointing season, the Cincinnati Bengals are set up to get back into contention next year. They have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, but might need a new voice at the head coach spot.
16. Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore’s see-saw season continued this past week as they demolished a depleted Packers team. The biggest positive to take from this game is that several of the team’s young players are really starting to hit their stride.
