17. Green Bay Packers

Mike McCarthy and his coaching staff deserve some credit for keeping the Packers alive in the playoff hunt without Aaron Rodgers. Things are looking so positive that there is some real talk that Rodgers could get back in the lineup.

18. Oakland Raiders

Oakland has climbed back into the AFC West race, but still look like a team that is far from a serious contender. It will help the offense to get back Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper in the coming weeks.

19. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys dominated the Redskins last week and kept their slim playoff hopes alive. It’s obvious that the key for this team is getting an early lead and allowing the offensive line to work the running game. They have the Giants this week which is a favorable matchup.

20. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta hung in there with the Minnesota Vikings, but just couldn’t crack Minnesota’s elite defense. Their playoff hopes basically depend on how they perform in the two games against the New Orleans Saints.

21. Baltimore Ravens

It’s really a shock to see this Baltimore Ravens team in the playoff mix. They have ran into some luck by facing several teams without their starting quarterback. This week’s game against Steelers will have a major impact on the playoff race.

22. Tennessee Titans

The Titans continue to play some really ugly football, but are finding ways to win. Things in the AFC are also ugly which is why the Titans still have a really good shot at making the playoffs. It would help if Marcus Mariota started taking care of the football.

23. Carolina Panthers

It was amazing to see the Carolina Panthers dominated on the ground against the New Orleans Saints. This is a defense that has done a great job against the run all season, but faulted this past weekend. Carolina has another tough matchup this week against the Minnesota Vikings.

24. New Orleans Saints

The Saints continue to play at a high level and it’s all thanks to their ground attack. Their offensive line is opening big holes for the dynamic duo of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. The key to their overall success this year will depend on how the defense performs  down the stretch.
