The 2018 NFL Draft is a pretty unique draft in that the top offensive prospects have a heavy quarterback presence.

This is the year for a team picking inside the top-10 to have a need at quarterback. The 2018 NFL Draft isn’t loaded with a ton of game-breaking offensive prospects, but it does have high-upside signal callers.

It appears that the sweat spot for finding an offensive playmaker in this draft is in the 2nd or 3rd round. This is where several intriguing wide receiver, running back and tight end prospect project to be selected.

Some of the wide receivers in that group include Colorado State’s Michael Gallup, Memphis’ Andrew Miller and Maryland’s D.J. Moore. The running backs that stand out are Georgia’s Sony Michal and Iowa’s Akrum Wadley.

South Dakota State’s Dallas Goedert, Penn State’s Mike Gesicki and Oklahoma’s Mark Andrews are the tight ends getting looks in 2nd to 3rd round range.

The lack of standout playmakers could cause some of the prospects mentioned above to be pushed up the draft. There are plenty of teams looking for difference makers at the wide receiver, tight end and running back position.

This article looks at my top-5 rated offensive prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft. The quarterback position is well represented which should cause some interesting storylines throughout the draft process.
