The South destroyed the North in this year’s Senior Bowl Game. Several high-profile prospects were able to help themselves during the process.

This year’s Senior Bowl game wasn’t very competitive, but most of the players and coaches don’t care about the score. The Senior Bowl is about NFL Draft prospects working to improve their overall draft stock.

Saturday proved to be a big day for the quarterback position. There were several quarterback’s who played well and showed big-time potential. Both Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen performed well which backed up solid practice weeks.

These are two prospects who look very likely to come off the board in the top-10. The lesser known quarterbacks also helped their cause.

Richmond’s Kyle Lauletta finished the game with 3 touchdowns and 198 passing yards. His teammate Western Kentucky’s Mike White also added a touchdown. These are two of the better 2nd tier prospects who could hear their name called on the draft’s 2nd day.

LSU’s D.J. Chark showed what he could do with a competent quarterback throwing him the ball. His big-play ability was on full display during the game. UCF’s Tre’Quan Smith also showed his ability to stretch the field by hauling in a 42-yard pass.

There were also some standout defensive performances from Oklahoma’s Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Ohio State’s Jayln Holmes and South Alabama’s Jeremy Reaves.

Okoronkwo was able to register two sacks which matched what he showed during the season. He features a quick burst off the edge and ability to generate pressure. Okoronkwo is someone who will get a ton of looks based of that pass rush ability.
