Honorable Mention: Buffalo Bills

Most eyes are on the New York Jets, but the team from the Empire State that makes more sense is the Buffalo Bills. Tyrod Taylor has played at a higher level than he’s given credit for, but Buffalo needs a player who can consistently make plays from the pocket.

With a window that will only be open for so long, acquiring Kirk Cousins would be the perfect opportunity for the Bills to make a splash.

Buffalo won nine games in 2017, and it did so with remarkable instability at the quarterback position. Taylor has been more than serviceable, but the awkward mid-season switch to Nathan Peterman implied that the Bills want a more conventional player under center.

Cousins would certainly fit the bill as a productive downfield thrower who would make the game significantly easier for LeSean McCoy.

For Cousins, playing with McCoy would mean having an elite option to turn to when the pass rush becomes too much to handle. Perhaps even more appealing is the fact that Cousins would be complemented by one of the best defenses in the NFL.

There may be more appealing options for Cousins to explore, but ruling out the Bills would be a poor decision if winning is a priority.
