1. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have elite players on the defensive end of the ball, a front office that’s hungry to win another Super Bowl, and a receiving corps that would likely stay together if it had a better quarterback. That’s quite the compelling combination of strengths.

Only time will tell what Denver will do with its supporting cast, but if it keeps a championship-caliber roster together, Cousins would be wise to accept this opportunity.

Denver is an unpredictable situation, as everyone from Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas to Aqib Talib have surfaced in departing rumors. If the core is kept together, however, Cousins would be entering a ready-made situation.

Now that Washington has ruled out the possibility of re-signing Cousins, it stands to reason that Denver will increase its efforts to bring him on board.

Denver won the Super Bowl in 2015, and picked up nine wins in 2016—both in spite of lackluster quarterback play. It ultimately succumbed to the inconsistency in 2017, which has thus called for its need to add a superior talent via free agency of the NFL Draft.

By adding a walking 4,000-yard season to the mix, the Broncos would be able to return to the championship discussion in an AFC West that’s growing more competitive by the day.
