With all due respect to Ryan Tannehill, the Miami Dolphins need to find a new franchise quarterback. Tannehill has been a productive player during his NFL career, but he bases much of his success on athleticism that could be hampered by the partial ACL tear he suffered in 2017.

According to Adam H. Beasley of The Miami Herald, the Dolphins have already met with a potential replacement: Josh Allen.

Allen is one of the most polarizing players in this draft class, but he’s also one of the most dynamic talents at the quarterback position. He’s a near 6’5″ quarterback with big hands, long arms, and the ability to put some zip behind his throws.

Whether he’s throwing it deep or hitting a receiver in traffic, Allen’s ability to fire in a powerful pass is something that every coach can work with.

Allen, like Tannehill, is also capable of making plays with his legs when the pocket collapses and a first down is within reach. For head coach Adam Gase, having a player cut from Allen’s cloth would be nothing short of ideal.

Allen may have the strongest arm in this draft, and the only reason one would say maybe is a false attempt at modesty. There’s talent to explore here.
