26. . Tight End. South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Dallas Goedert. 16. player

The Baltimore Ravens have a chance to select Marcus Davenport at No. 16 overall and solidify a pass rush that will someday soon lose 35-year-old Terrell Suggs to retirement. Nothing matters more than getting help for Joe Flacco, however, which leads to this selection.

While acquiring a wide receiver could be the path to follow, the best receiving option on the board happens to be tight end Dallas Goedert.

Goedert may be listed at tight end, but confining him to a position would be insincere to his versatility. He often lines up in the slot, where he’s nothing short of a matchup nightmare for cornerbacks and safeties with his size, strength, and athleticism.

Put a linebacker on Goedert and his speed will become a deciding factor, as he leaves a vast majority of players in the dust and exploits openings over the middle.

Considering no Raven recorded more than 748 receiving yards in 2017, it’s safe to say that a target like this could help. Goedert is built in the mold of Zach Ertz, who helped anchor the passing attack that erupted to win Super Bowl LII.

Baltimore needs to find Suggs’ replacement and provide Flacco with better wide receivers, but Goedert can become what Dennis Pitta could’ve been if not for the injuries—if not better.
