The Minnesota Vikings have lost all three of their quarterbacks to free agency. Will Minnesota turn to free agency or the NFL Draft to fill the void?

The Minnesota Vikings have positioned themselves to move on and acquire a new franchise quarterback. With all three of the quarterbacks on the roster heading for free agency, the Vikings have a significant void to fill.

The question is: Should Minnesota utilize free agency or the 2018 NFL Draft to acquire the field general who will lead the franchise for years to come?

The Vikings entered the 2018 offseason with knowledge that Sam Bradford would become a free agent and likely sign elsewhere. Teddy Bridgewater and Case Keenum will also hit the open market, but there was a sense that one of the two would remain in Minnesota.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Vikings aren’t expected to franchise tag Keenum. Instead, he’ll enter unrestricted free agency.

Rapoport also reported that Minnesota is expected to let Bridgewater enter free agency this offseason.

With Bradford, Bridgewater, and Keenum all entering free agency, it stands to reason that the Vikings will have a new quarterback in 2018.

It’s still possible that the Vikings will attempt to re-sign one of the three players to a long-term or short-term deal. The signs are pointing towards a change of the guard, however, which inevitably beckons the question.

Should the Vikings be looking towards the 2018 NFL Draft or free agency for a quarterback?
