2018 NFL Draft: Key strengths and weaknesses for Mason Rudolph
Oklahoma State Cowboys quarterback Mason Rudolph is one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft. What makes him so compelling?
The 2018 NFL Draft is overrun with quarterbacks whom the general population can’t seem to agree about. There’s no sure-thing or can’t-miss prospect whom the population loves by consensus, but instead polarizing figures who are either viewed as future stars or guaranteed busts.
As teams debate what to do with their top-10 draft picks, one of the divisive figures who’s beginning to surface as a safe option is Mason Rudolph.
Rudolph is a spread offense quarterback who will have questions to answer at the next level. With Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and Josh Rosen dominating the top-10 discussions, however, some teams are inclined to look elsewhere.
That could benefit Rudolph, who’s something of a fringe first-round prospect and a believed project who’s unlikely to be drafted with immediate expectations.
It may not be the most ideal of scenarios for a quarterback to find themselves in, but that project status may benefit Rudolph. He could end up with a contending team that has a veteran quarterback or a developing team that’s willing to be patient.
The question is: What are the key strengths and weaknesses that make Oklahoma State Cowboys quarterback Mason Rudolph a coveted prospect in the 2018 NFL Draft?
