The Indianapolis Colts landed a haul when they traded the No. 3 overall pick to the New York Jets and are now ready to do some damage in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Heading into the 2018 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts hold 4 picks in the 1st and 2nd round. Their trade with the New York Jets landed them the No. 6, No. 37 and No. 49 picks in the draft. Indianapolis had a chance to add some key pieces with these selections.

It now seems very likely that at least two quarterbacks will be picked in the first 3 picks. The Cleveland Browns sitting at No. 1 overall and the Jets have the need for a long-term signal caller.

There’s also a strong possibility that the Buffalo Bills make a big move up the draft to also get a quarterback. The key here is that every team ahead of the Colts that picks a quarterback pushes another player down the board.

For the Colts, they need help on the defensive side of the ball and would fill a big need if they can land NC State’s Bradley Chubb. Indianapolis was in strong position for Chubb at NO. 3, but now face the possibility of losing him.

The Browns at No. 4 could use another pass rusher and someone could potentially trade up to land Chubb.

It’s possible that if the Colts don’t like any of the prospects available at No. 6 that they look to trade down yet again. This is a team with plenty of holes to fill and can do so by adding more draft capital.

Either way, they are in a position to land 4 starters within the first 2 rounds. Look for them to target defensive players especially an edge rusher and cornerback.
