The best player in the 2018 NFL Draft is Penn State Nittany Lions running back Saquon Barkley. He’s the best runner and receiver at his position, as well as a dynamic return man who can put six points on the board off of both kickoffs and punts.

For a New York Giants team that already has Odell Beckham Jr., adding a second elite playmaker would instantly change the culture.

The best point of reference at this point is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite having questionable play on defense and a debatably elite quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers have remained relevant due to the high-octane nature of their offense.

Skill position players are often overrated in their importance, but when you have two legitimately elite playmakers on offense, the narrative changes.

With Barkley and Beckham, the Giants would have their own version of Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. Those two players alone would give New York the ability to establish the run and the pass on a weekly basis, no matter who the opponent is.

It would also enable New York to groom Davis Webb or a second-round draft pick into the quarterback of the future with two elite weapons at their disposal.
