If the New York Giants are looking for an immediate replacement for Jason Pierre-Paul, Bradley Chubb would certainly fit the bill. He’s easily the best defensive lineman in this draft class, and would be a perfect fit opposite Olivier Vernon.

Chubb should be available at No. 2 overall, and if Dave Gettleman were to select the former Wolfpack star, not a single fan would have a fair reason to blame him for doing so.

Chubb is one of the most complete defensive linemen to come along in quite some time. He may or may not have Myles Garrett level potential, but he’s excellent against the run, tenacious in the pass rush, and athletically gifted in his own right.

Drafting Chubb at No. 2 overall would not only address Pierre-Paul’s absence, but give New York a culture-changing star whose motor will never be questioned.

Chubb is the type of player whose impact is felt in every phase of the game. He’ll work tirelessly to get after the quarterback, chase down running backs who are directed to the opposite side of the field, and even sprint after receivers who are within his range.

There are certainly other options worth considering, but the Giants should at least be mindful of the All-Pro potential that Chubb possesses.
