Baker Mayfield has become one of the most polarizing prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft. The former Oklahoma Sooners star has the tools for greatness, but his personality has been criticized and his size has become a question mark.

The concerns are somewhat fair, but the New York Jets would provide Mayfield with the big stage that he’s proven to embrace and covet.

Mayfield has the arm strength to complete throws all over the field, as well as the athleticism to extend plays with his legs. That’s an intriguing combination at the quarterback position, as well as reason to believe that he’s a safer pick than advertised.

What truly makes Mayfield one of the best quarterbacks in this draft class is that he’s one of the most accurate passers on the board.

As a result of Oklahoma’s superb offensive line play, some are concerned about his ability to make plays under pressure. Thankfully, Mayfield posted the best passer rating under pressure in the NCAA in each of the past three seasons.

With accuracy, poise, athleticism, and arm strength, Mayfield has the tools to at least become a quality starter in the NFL—at the least an upgrade for the Jets.
