The Dallas Cowboys have parted ways with wide receiver Dez Bryant. Which 2018 NFL Draft prospects could realistically replace Bryant?

The Dallas Cowboys have committed to building a team with a new identity. In one of the most significant decisions in recent franchise history, the Cowboys committed to that changing vision by parting ways with a face of the franchise.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cowboys will release wide receiver Dez Bryant barring a last minute change of heart.

Bryant later confirmed the decision via his official Twitter account.

Bryant is one of the most popular players in franchise history, but this is a decision that was a long time in the making.

Bryant’s health has been declining, with 10 games missed between the 2015 and 2016 regular seasons. He appeared in all 16 games in 2017, but the ramifications of his injuries were on full display as he posted his third consecutive season below 850 receiving yards.

Thankfully, the Dallas Cowboys will have a chance to find an immediate replacement via the 2018 NFL Draft.

With a rising star at quarterback in Dak Prescott and an elite running back in Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys have two key positions covered. With a strong offensive line and an improved defense, one could argue that Dallas is closer than it seems to a return to prominence.

The question is: Which 2018 NFL Draft prospect might be able to fill Dez Bryant’s void and help the Dallas Cowboys contend?
