Will Hernandez may not be coming from a major program, but he has the tools to develop into a Pro Bowl player. He’s a strong and tough interior lineman who finishes his blocks and has the agility to thrive in a zone blocking scheme.

Likely to be a first-round draft pick, Hernandez could be an instant starter and an impact player if a team empowers him to play through his inconsistencies.

Hernandez is undersized in height, arm length, and hand size, but that doesn’t seem to stop him. He has wide hips, a powerful frame, and the raw tenacity to get into the chest of every lineman he’s matched up against.

Hernandez has also displayed excellent anticipatory skills for when linebackers and defensive backs attempt to catch him off guard.

What helps Hernandez with those who have met with him is that he’s a true student of the game. He’ll work harder than everyone else on the practice field and give an even stronger effort once the team reaches Sunday.

Hernandez could be in play as early as No. 21 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals, and would go even earlier if not for the stigma of his position.
