The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft is officially in the books. Who were the biggest steals from the opening day of the selection process?

To say that the 2018 NFL Draft has already been filled with surprises would be an egregious understatement. Mock drafts are rarely confirmed by consensus, but a flurry of trades dominated the first round of the proceedings.

A number of teams made wise selections, but there were a select few decisions that stood out from the rest as unexpectedly opportune.

Players fall down draft boards with every passing season, but that doesn’t make it any less shocking when it transpires. Some fall further than others, but golden opportunities present themselves and many teams tend to overthink the chance presented to them.

Thankfully for the biggest steals of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, there were teams that believed in their potential despite the questions they faced.

In some instances, the biggest steals were players who simply fell a few picks below their widespread projections. In others, there were players who were truer to being shocking selections in the sense that they ended up being far below their expected landing spots.

The question is: Which teams managed to find the most shocking steals of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft?
