Andraez “Greedy” Williams announced that he will be ending his time at Louisiana State University and declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Considered by many to be the top cornerback prospect in this years class, Greedy Williams officially announced his intentions to declare  on Sunday. This move is far from a surprise, but teams looking for secondary help will certainly be happy to have a shot at Williams in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Greedy Williams is a big corner who has flashed exceptional ball skills and will be a hot commodity at the next level. Greedy matched up against some of the toughest competition in football in the SEC and held his own against very talented receivers. Williams is the type of player that you can put on the proverbial island and take away a teams top target. He will need to add some muscle to his lean frame and answer some questions about his long speed at the combine. Williams is a near lock for the 1st round, and very likely has his name call in the top 10 and possibly the top 5. The Shreveport, Louisiana native Williams finishes his LSU Tiger career with 8 interceptions and 19 passes defended in his two years as a starter.

The 2019 NFL Draft is shaping up to be a premier defensive class, headlined by several talented prospects including Greedy Williams. We saw Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward go number 4 overall to the Cleveland Browns last year, so it may not be unreasonable for a team like the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, or Atlanta Falcons to eye Greedy Williams inside the top 10.
