Miami Dolphins

Team Needs: QB, WR, EDGE, CB

The Miami Dolphins are currently in second play in the AFC East, but looking at their roster does not inspire hope for the long term. The Dolphins have a lot of work to do if they hope to take the AFC East crown from New England.

The Miami Dolphins biggest decision this offseason will be what to do with Ryan Tannehill, who has been plagued by injuries and underachievement. The current thought is that Miami will be moving on from Tannehill if given the opportunity to do so this offseason.

This is a tough spot for Miami as the 2019 draft class does not offer much near the top of the draft in terms of quarterback talent. The top-rated quarterback who might be available when the Dolphins pick at 15 would be Missouri’s, Drew Lock.

Ryan Tannehill is not the only 1st round pick to disappoint in Miami, as former first-round receiver DeVante Parker has left the Dolphins in a tough spot. Parker has struggled to find his way onto the field, and when he has been on the field his ability to stay there has been an issue as he has consistently battled injuries. The Dolphins should have their pick of some of the top receiver talent, so a player like Kelvin Harmon from North Carolina State would make sense.

After quarterback, edge rushers are the most important position on the football field. The Dolphins have Robert Quinn and Cameron Wake, neither of which are spring chickens. Like the wide receiver class, the edge class is fairly deep. Brian Burns from Florida State would be a nice addition for the Dolphins.

Miami has a potential superstar in Minkah Fitzpatrick, and corner Xavien Howard has proven to be more than capable as a starter. If the Dolphins were able to find a long-term starter across from Howard, their secondary would give NFL offenses fits. Greedy Williams from LSU and Byron Murphy from Washington are in a battle to be the top corner off the board, but don’t sleep on DeAndre Baker from Georia.
