4 teams that should consider trading draft picks for Cardinals QB Josh Rosen
By Bryan Perez
Several teams with established veteran QBs could use a player like Josh Rosen. Here are four.
Just one year removed from selecting QB Josh Rosen in the first round of last year’s NFL draft, the Arizona Cardinals are in a tough predicament with the first overall pick this April.
Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray should be the pick, especially if new coach Kliff Kingsbury has his way. But a Murray selection will also be an admission by GM Steve Keim that he got it wrong last year with Rosen. This coming just a few months after firing Steve Wilks following only one season on the job.
Regardless, Keim can’t let his ego or the threat of social-media humiliation prevent him from doing what’s right for the franchise. And at this point, selecting Murray is what’s right.
Assuming that’s the direction Arizona goes in, they’ll have no choice but to trade Rosen. There’s been speculation that Rosen can be had for a third-round pick, but that seems highly unlikely. It’s more logical to expect a second-round pick as the asking price come draft day.
Here are four teams who should strongly consider making an aggressive attempt at securing Rosen.
