4 teams that should consider trading draft picks for Cardinals QB Josh Rosen
By Bryan Perez
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins might end up the biggest losers from Murray’s ascent up the draft board. Most mock drafts had Miami as the likely landing spot for Murray prior to his 5-foot-10 weigh-in at the NFL combine. Now, there’s little doubt Murray will be the first player off the board.
But that doesn’t mean Miami can’t still get their quarterback. Rosen would make a great Plan B for Brian Flores and the new regime, especially considering the uncertainty that always presents itself from draft class to draft class. The Dolphins can’t bank on next year’s class having a prospect that projects better than Rosen, who just a year ago was graded as a franchise passer.
The difference between Miami and the other options on this list is Rosen would be the opening-day starter in 2019. Is he ready for that? He had an up-and-down rookie season, which to be fair was in large part because of the horrendous offensive line in Arizona. But if the Dolphins feel good about Rosen being ready to launch right now, it’s a move they should seriously consider making.
