T.J. Hockenson. 27. player. 28. The Raiders added pass rush at No. 4 overall, a legitimate every-down running back at No. 24, and grab a difference-maker at tight end with Hockenson at No. 27. Combine these picks with the trade for Antonio Brown, and the Jon Gruden Raiders suddenly look a whole lot different.. TE. Iowa

DL. Clemson. Christian Wilkins. 28. player. 13. Wilkins has been a consistent force for the Tigers’ defensive front and offers the Chargers a plug-and-play starter here at the bottom of the first round. He’s always around the football and had a knack for getting to the quarterback, too, registering 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons.

29. player. 124. Adderley is enjoying a big jump up the draft board and he should settle in as a first-round pick when all is said and done. He’d be a great pick for the Chiefs who could be facing some turnover at safety. Adderley’s plus range and instincts will help him compete for a starting job right away.. Saftey. Delaware. Nasir Adderley

A mini run on safeties could happen at the end of the first round, and in this scenario, the Packers get one of the more aggressive and physical prospects at the position. Gardner-Johnson’s improvement from 2017 to 2018 is encouraging and suggests his game is trending in the right direction. He’ll be a long-time NFL starter.. Safety. Florida. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. 30. player. 49

EDGE. Florida. Jachai Polite. 31. player. 51. Polite is freefalling down the draft board right now and needs a strong Pro Day to maintain his first-round value. The Rams don’t shy away from questionable character guys and while Polite hasn’t helped himself during the draft process, his tape flashes some enticing quick-twitch pass-rushing upside.

player. 47. The Patriots have to start thinking  (like, seriously thinking) about life after Tom Brady, and Daniel Jones is an ideal prospect to develop behind Brady for the next few seasons. By drafting Jones in the first round, New England will control his rights for five seasons. Logic (and father time) dictates that Brady’s time as the Patriots’ starter will be over before the end of Jones’ first contract with the team, giving New England a chance to evaluate whether he will, in fact, be the future at the position.. QB. Kentucky. Daniel Jones. 32
