The Arizona Cardinals have 11 picks in the 2019 NFL draft and the pressure is on the front office to make some impact selections in Year 1 of the Kliff Kingsbury era.

Smart money is on the Arizona Cardinals selecting Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. It just makes too much sense.

Not only is Murray the most dynamic player in this year’s class, but he’s also the one guy from the 2019 quarterback group who can change the fate of a franchise. The Cardinals might have thought they got a player like that in last year’s draft with Josh Rosen, but that was for a different coaching staff with a different offensive philosophy.

Rosen, for as talented as he is, might not be a fit with new coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Enter Murray, who is everything Kingsbury could’ve prayed for at quarterback for his first NFL coaching gig.

But, let’s have some fun here. Let’s assume the Cardinals don’t take Murray. It’s too predictable. And with that in mind, here’s what a seven-round haul could like look for Arizona in April.

Round 1, Pick No. 1: Nick Bosa | Edge | Ohio State

There’s no other way the Cardinals can go in Round 1 besides Nick Bosa if they don’t take Murray. Bosa is the safest defensive prospect in this year’s class who also has incredible upside; he’s a 10-plus sack guy in the making.

If you’re not selecting a quarterback with the first-overall pick, then you select a guy who will destroy your opponent’s quarterback. And that’s who Bosa is.
