Round 3, Pick 67: Dru Samia | iOL | Oklahoma

Dru Samia is an athletic interior offensive lineman who offers good value for the 49ers in the third round. He’d fit what Kyle Shanahan likes to do in the running game and he’d thrive as a swing interior lineman until his time comes as an eventual starter.

The Second Team All-American has 38 career starts at guard and while he has some work to do with his pad level and punch — he absorbs initial contact rather than deliver it — Samia should develop into a quality starter a year or two down the road. You can’t ask for more than that from a third-round selection.
