Round 6, Pick 212: Deshaun Davis | LB | Auburn

The 49ers end this draft on defense, selecting Auburn’s Deshaun Davis with their second pick in the sixth round.

Davis finished 2018 with 112 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in what was a solid all-around season for the First Team All-SEC linebacker.

Davis isn’t the best athlete and will have to excel on special teams to have an active role on gameday, but I wouldn’t bet against him becoming a big part of a pro special teams unit and a valued reserve on defense.

The 49ers added Kwon Alexander as their big free-agent signing this offseason, but aside from him, linebacker is a wide-open position group.
