Round 3, Pick 93: Isaiah Johnson | CB | Houston

Johnson is a wide receiver-turned-cornerback who has just 22 games of defensive experience, but at 6-2 and 208 pounds, he profiles as a big and physical defensive back who teams will be more than willing to draft toward the end of Day 2 to develop into a potential starter down the road.

Johnson ran a 4.40 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, and his 36-inch vertical jump is an impressive score considering his already large frame. He’ll be tough to beat on jump balls.

The Jets have Brian Poole and Trumaine Johnson slated as their starting cornerbacks in 2019, making a pick like Johnson all the better as a guy who could potentially challenge for first-team reps come 2020.
