The Giants are at a crossroads in the 2019 NFL Draft and need a big return on Days 1 and 2 to make up for some questionable roster moves in recent years.

The New York Giants are armed with 12 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, and with two picks in the first round, have the potential to load up with talented young players who can lead the franchise into the post-Eli Manning era.

To be fair, the Giants made arguably the biggest sacrifice in the NFL this offseason in order to acquire that second first-round pick; they traded one of the league’s best all-around players in WR Odell Beckham to the Browns for, essentially, the 17th overall pick.

There’s no chance New York will add a player who can make the kind of impact Beckham’s proven capable of, but, hey, few players can.

The big mystery surrounding the Giants right now involves their plan at quarterback. Manning turned 38 years old in January and despite coming off one of the best statistical seasons of his career, he’s clearly not the same player he once was. He’s lost some zip off his fastball and his standing as one of the league’s premier quarterbacks is no more.

But that doesn’t mean he can’t provide New York with another season (or two) of slightly above-average quarterback play. And if they add a young prospect to the roster, he’d serve as the perfect mentor (in theory, at least).

Rumors have begun to circulate about the Giants’ interest in Cardinals QB Josh Rosen, who Arizona is expected to trade before the NFL Draft. It looks like Kyler Murray will be their guy with the first overall pick, and if New York can land Rosen at a discounted rate, it’s a huge win. They’ll enter 2019 with two of the premier players from last year’s draft in Rosen and RB Saquon Barkley.

It’s a trade they have to make, but this mock draft can only be written based on what we know right now. And as of now, Rosen isn’t on the roster.

Here’s who the Giants could end up with after three rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft.
