Round 3, Pick 98: Anthony Nelson | EDGE | Iowa

In their second of two third-round picks, the Jaguars turn to defense here and snag Iowa’s mammoth edge defender, Anthony Nelson.

Nelson (6-7, 271 pounds) has freakish physical measurables. He has nearly 35-inch arms, ran a 4.82 40-yard dash and leaped 35 inches in the vertical jump. Unique, indeed.

Tailormade to play defensive end in the NFL, Nelson would immediately challenge for reps with the starting team in Jacksonville in 2019. He may not become a double-digit sack guy in the NFL, but he’s going to be a reliable three-down defender who does everything well. Every team could use guys like that.
