Round 2, Pick 40: Jerry Tillery | DL | Notre Dame

The Bills continue to strengthen their front-seven with Jerry Tillery at No. 40 overall. Tillery is a fringe-first-round pick and there’s a chance he could come off the board a few slots earlier. But with the way this mock draft fell, he presented incredible value for Buffalo in Round 2.

Tillery was a second-team All-American in 2018 after finishing the year with 10.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. He was dominant at times, but his tape lacks down-to-down consistency, something that’s likely to push him into the late-first, early-second-round range.

Tillery will offer Buffalo more of a power player than their first-rounder in this mock draft (Brian Burns) and the combination of the two young studs will give the Bills a very, very strong duo to build their defense around.
