Round 1, Pick 11: Devin White, LB, LSU

Nope, no quarterback this year, Bengals fans. Don’t get me wrong; Dwayne Haskins would make a lot of sense and would be a great story for Ohio, but I’m not sure his draft-day experience is going to match his inflated scouting report. And with a dominant linebacker like Devin White on the board here at No. 11, Cincinnati will be hard-pressed to go in another direction.

White’s draft stock seems to be slipping, even if just a little, in the last few weeks before the draft. Players like Houston’s Ed Oliver may have leapfrogged him for the Buccaneers pick at No. 5, which will push White down the board to around this range. Bengals fans won’t complain about it one bit. White is a plug-and-play starter who will instantly upgrade the athleticism and toughness of the defense.
