Defense will be the pick again here in the third round, this time turning to the secondary. The Bengals grab a solid cornerback prospect in Michigan’s David Long at No. 72 overall.

Long earned first-team All-Big 10 honors in 2018 after registering 17 tackles, one interception and eight PBU’s. He’s a physical corner who won’t back down from a fight and his athletic scores at the NFL combine were promising; he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash and lept nearly 40 inches in the vertical jump.

Long would be fantastic depth for the Bengals early in his career. Don’t count him out as a rookie-starter, however, making this three-round haul pretty darn impressive if it actually comes to fruition.
