Round 1, Pick 15: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

When was the last time the Redskins had a franchise-caliber, game-changing wide receiver? It’s been a while. And with an offense already hamstrung by a likely average starting quarterback, they’ll need to juice up the passing game with some legitimate weapons on the outside.

That’s where D.K. Metcalf comes in.

Don’t worry about the agility times at the NFL combine; it’s nothing more than chatter used to fill the dead time before the NFL draft. The simple truth is Metcalf is a physical freak who, if everything clicks for him in the NFL, can be a dominant three-level receiver along the lines of Julio Jones.

This isn’t to say he WILL be Jones, but he has that kind of upside. Washington can’t pass on him if he’s still on the board when they pick.
