Give Jeremiah an A for effort with this prediction, but I’d be stunned — floored, even — if the Giants use the No. 6 pick on Jones.

"If the Giants want a QB, it makes more sense to secure him at No. 6 than leave it to fate and wait until they’re on the clock again at No. 17."

Sure, Jones is going to be a first-round pick. And yeah, maybe the Giants will be forced to overdraft him if they’re really that high on him as the eventual replacement for Eli Manning. But this would be an extraordinary reach for a prospect who, while possessing upside, doesn’t have a franchise-quarterback ceiling.
