The 2019 NFL draft is finally here, and with it comes the final — and official — mock draft submission for the year.

This mock draft is different. It’s not only my best guess of what will actually happen Thursday night, but it’s also my submission for the Huddle Report’s mock draft contest. If you’re unfamiliar with THR’s mock competition, you can read more about it here.

This isn’t my first rodeo, either. I was fortunate enough to win the mock draft contest back in 2014, outscoring the likes of Mel Kiper, Jr., Mike Mayock and Todd McShay. Yes, I’m bragging.

But it’s been a while since I was crowned champion. And it’s time to take back the belt.

So, with all that said, here’s my final mock draft of 2019.

QB. Oklahoma. Kyler Murray. 1. player. 32.

This is a no-brainer for the Cardinals. Murray is the only quarterback in this year’s draft who has the potential to transform a franchise. Arizona can trade Josh Rosen on draft weekend or wait until training camp to move him to a quarterback-needy team.

42. . Edge. Ohio State. Nick Bosa. 2. player

The 49ers put the finishing touches on their improved pass rush with Bosa, who will pair with Dee Ford to give San Francisco two productive quarterback hunters in 2019.

player. 30. . iDL. Houston. Ed Oliver. 3

Oliver isn’t the highest rated player on the draft board here, but he’s the most coveted by the Jets. He has Aaron Donald upside and will become an instant fan-favorite in New York.

28. . iDL. Alabama. Quinnen Williams. 4. player

Arguably the most talented player in the draft, the Raiders hit a home run with Williams at No. 4. He’ll upgrade the pass rush and be a force against the run. He’s Warren Sapp 2.0.

48. . Edge. Kentucky. Josh Allen. 5. player

Tampa Bay needs to add juice to their pass rush, and Josh Allen is considered the most gifted pass rusher in the class. He isn’t a sure thing, however, and needs to prove he can with power. But his 17 sacks in the SEC is proof he knows how to get to the quarterback.
