87. . OT. Kansas St.. Dalton Risner. 16. player

The Panthers cannot continue ignoring their most pressing need: Keep Cam Newton healthy. They’ll only accomplish that with a player like Risner, who not only brings sound offensive tackle play to the roster but also the kind of nasty demeanor needed to change the culture of the offensive line.

. QB. Duke. Daniel Jones. 17. player. 31

The Giants can’t go another year without bringing in a potential replacement for Eli Manning, and Jones has plenty of good traits to justify selecting him in the first round. Is he an elite prospect? No. But he projects as an above-average NFL starter, which isn’t exactly easy to find.

. OT. Washington St.. Andre Dillard. 18. player. 60

The Vikings offensive line has consistently been one of the worst in the NFL the last few seasons and in order to get the most out of their massive investment in QB Kirk Cousins, they need to add a pass-protection specialist like Dillard.

Clemson. Clelin Ferrell. 19. player. 35. . Edge

The Titans benefit from Ferrell’s first-round slide and add the edge rusher the defense needs. He’ll pair with Harold Landry to give Tennessee a promising young duo of pass rushers.

20. player. 55. . CB. LSU. Greedy Williams

The Steelers will continue what feels like an annual tradition of drafting defensive backs in the first round, this time going with Williams, who projects as a top-tier man-cover guy on the next level. Williams isn’t great against the run, but he has all the traits to eventually be a shutdown guy in the passing game.
