If you were a team that didn’t need a quarterback in the 2019 NFL draft, then there was little doubt about who the best player in the class was: Ohio State edge defender, Nick Bosa.

And for a 49ers squad capable of making a playoff run with a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo, adding Bosa to their defense was a dream-come-true. It was like having the first overall pick, essentially.

Bosa will become an instant fan-favorite and a terror for opposing quarterbacks. He has more upside than his big brother Joey and could eventually be one of the top three or four pass-rushers in the NFL.

This was a home run.
