Arizona Cardinals QB and the first overall pick from the 2019 NFL Draft, Kyler Murray, made his debut as the team’s franchise quarterback Saturday and boy did he look sharp with that dark visor.

The comparisons to Michael Vick are just way too easy and obvious from a playing style, and now with the visor and the Cardinals’ dark practice jersey, it looks almost as if Vick’s made a comeback — as a righty.

As for how Murray looked on the field? Let’s be honest, every top pick looks great this time of year. The rookie minicamps are get-to-know-you sessions in a controlled environment that falls way short of what’s to come in training camp.

But there was a bit of noteworthy intel from Murray’s first session as a pro, and it’s not what Cardinals fans want to hear.

He had pain and discomfort in his feet, so much so that ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported seeing Murray walk with a tight gait off the field.

“I feel good. I feel rested. Except for my feet hurting, I feel pretty good. I’m not too worried about it right now,” Murray said via USA Today.

Ugh. Not worried about it . . . right now?

Murray will switch his cleats for Day 2 of rookie minicamp in an effort to relieve some of the pain.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury liked what he saw from his franchise player, even if it was only the first of many, many workouts to come.

“Not bad,” Kingsbury said of Murray’s first day. “Some familiarity with the system helps. He can really throw it. He’s got a presence about himself. So, I liked how he operated.”
