Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa is QB1

Kiper has Alabama’s Tagovailoa as the first quarterback on his board and the fourth player overall. Again, it’s hard to disagree with this call. Tagovailoa may not have the kind of elite arm talent that prospects like Oregon’s Justin Herbert has, but his pinpoint accuracy and ability to make plays on the move should keep him comfortably atop the quarterback rankings this season.

One of the biggest concerns about Tagovailoa is his size, but he cleared that hurdle when he measured in at 6-0 and 230 pounds in March.

He’s going to put up video game numbers this season and he’ll probably be knocked a bit because of the cast of elite skill players he’ll be throwing to on offense. But as the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy and a prospect with few notable flaws, Tagovailoa is an early favorite to be the first pick overall next April.
