Though not blessed with the same athletic ability, Haskins has much more around him in terms of safety nets than Murray, and they could propel him into contention for Rookie of the Year should he beat out Case Keenum and Colt McCoy.

The offensive line is coming off a difficult year but has plenty of talent in the likes of Trent Williams and Brandon Scherff, while Haskins should be able to lean heavily on tight ends Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis, as well as a deep backfield boasting Derrius Guice, Adrian Peterson and a pass-catcher in Chris Thompson.

Washington’s options at receiver don’t inspire the same level of confidence but Haskins at least has a familiar target in fellow former Ohio State Buckeye Terry McLaurin and, if he adapts to the NFL the way he did to the Big Ten in his sole season starting in Columbus, Haskins will be firmly in the running for the prize.
