The Ravens have not been a team on which wide receivers have flourished in recent seasons but, by taking Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown with the 25th overall pick they signalled their intent to open up their downfield passing attack and harness Lamar Jackson’s arm strength.

Baltimore is likely to remain a run-first team that will look to minimize Jackson’s weaknesses but, with his ability to create separation with his foot quickness at the top of his route and frightening downfield speed, Brown provides the Ravens with a dynamic big-play threat.

There were concerns over Brown’s linsfranc surgery going into the draft, however, he arguably has the highest ceiling of any receiver in the class. Even in an offense tailored towards the ground game, look for Brown to generate the splash plays he produced on a consistent basis at Oklahoma and make a strong case to be selected as the league’s best offensive rookie.
