The 2019 NFL season is quickly approaching, which means it’s also time to start paying attention to players who can help your fantasy football team go from contender to champion.

We’ve already touched on rookie running backs who can carry the load in 2019, and we broke down some first-year wide receivers who are potential starters in fantasy leagues this season. Now it’s time to focus on a position often overlooked in fantasy circles: tight end.

Howard (Buccaneers) are young studs, but gone are the days of Rob Gronkowski and even names like Antonio Gates and Jason Witten, who long dominated the top of the position’s rankings.

Here’s a look at five rookie tight ends who will challenge to start not only for their NFL team in 2019, but for your fantasy squad, too.
