Zach Allen – Cardinals

The Cardinals’ 2019 draft will be defined by whether Kyler Murray is a success, but Arizona got outstanding value with its picks outside of the first round, with Boston College’s Zach Allen a potential steal in the third round.

Allen has the flexibility to play 4-3 and 3-4 defensive end and will be doing the latter as part of Arizona’s defense.

Between Chandler Jones, Corey Peters and Darius Philon the Cardinals have some impressive talent on the defensive line, but – Jones and veteran Terrell Suggs aside – they possess little in the way of players with pass rush upside.

Allen brings such upside having finished his final year with Boston College with 6.5 sacks along with 15 tackles for loss and has already caught the eye in the offseason program, with Peters saying he fully expects Allen to be a big part of the rotation, per azcardinals.com.

If he continues to stand out in training camp and preseason, Allen could well find himself at the head of that rotation.
