Scott Miller – Buccaneers

The slot receiver is essentially a starting position in the NFL with the three-wide formations becoming the norm and Scott Miller, having been on few people’s radar going into the draft, could be about to make that role his own in Bruce Arians’ Buccaneers offense.

Few sixth-round picks claim a position of such responsibility as rookies but, having run the 40-yard dash in 4.30 seconds at his pro day, the 5’9″ and 174-pound Miller has the speed to create separation over the middle and downfield, making him an ideal fit for the aggressive Arians’ attack.

Smaller receivers who can separate deep have long since been a key part of Arians’ gameplan and ,praised by Jameis Winston as “fantastic” in practice, Miller is on track to replace the departed Adam Humphries in the slot and make a significant impact as a rookie.
