2. Washington Redskins – Chase Young (EDGE, Ohio State)

The Redskins addressed quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft with the selection of Dwayne Haskins in the first round and they’ll go back to Ohio State next April with an impact pick on defense.

Chase Young is the most promising pass-rusher entering the 2019 college football season, even with some development required in his game. That development is expected to occur this fall, making him a blue-chip top-three prospect in next year’s class.

Mock drafts this early in the process can’t really factor for scheme all that much, because a lot can change between now and the actual NFL draft. If Washington wants a potentially elite pass rusher, Young is their guy.
